COAT UNE CERTAINE ÉLÉGANCE , WORK IN PROGRESS

UNE CERTAINE ÉLÉGANCE
Coat
Work In Progress

The cutting is slightly a shape A , because i cannot cut in the bottom embroidery .
Very long , 60".
Open in the front , because i want we see the embroidery on the dress and the silhouette is "light".
Definitely no sleeves .

At present the appliqués are pined .

The view from the back and the side .
Finally i think the triangular appliqué is not a good choice .
Necessary to find other thing ….

Like that it will be certainly better ….

The result :

Tonight , the work is more in progress , i hand stitched some of these appliqués .

SUITE :
A new border for the bottom , ready to be hand stitched

When all the appliqués was hand stitched , i worked around them , with "rustic needle points"
I used a thick black rayon thread .

A work black on black , to incorporate the appliqués and to give texture.

Details :

At present this part is finished .
The lining , a grayish vintage silk sari is cut , ready to be hand stitched in the coat .

Suite very soon ……

As many times during the work in progress / evolution , my view changed and i decided to create a texture on the grayish lining .
I made a patchwork with a wonderful black crepe , embroidered with metallic threads color copper and black silk .
Pattern flowers ….. At present , it is an interesting lining !
I finished too late this work to fix it in the coat .
It is the work for tomorrow .

On the left , the lining / patchwork that will be inside the coat :
