THE WORK IN PROGRESS :
First Sun Light in Sweden
Finally after this long winter period I can start to work on garments with this beautiful light .
I need it to mix the fabrics , the textures .....
Unfortunately , all the day are not sunny , but when the sun is here , i work on this garment with envy and enthusiasm .
Light is life :)
End of the afternoon during the work in progress .....
This Kaftan , Summer coat is a patchwork of different light vintage recycled fabrics and panel embroidered.
The black Ikat base is a transparent cotton .
Colors of the Ikat : red , blue , white .
I bordered the front with a jacquard fabric blue and orange.
On each frontal Ikat panel , 3 recycled beaded and embroidered ornaments , cut on vintage saris .
They need needle points restoration and after they will be ornate with my rustic wool embroideries.
2 recycled trim embroidered with gold sequins and silk threads ( flowers ) will be hand-stitched on the top of the Ikat stripes.
The panel of the Kaftan back will be this transparent black silk woven organza with stylized flowers
I find for the lining a light black silk printed small flowers .
This print match very well in transparency with the fabric Ikat and the appliqués .

At present , time to start the restoration , the hand-stitch ....
What wool colors can I use ?
I decided black on black, red on red , with touches of curry color
The restoration back side ..... thousands of needle points !
This long part of work is finished .
Next step , the lining ....... soon
Here , the work on the lining and the result .
The lining is hand-stitched .
That make the difference .
The back panel :
The sides are not fixed for the moment and the bottom is not cut at the right length .
Suite when the model is finished .
Finished ! :
Thank you for your visit and interest
