Piece Unique / a set scarf shawl and a vintage Haori jacket .
I created The SCARF / SHAWL in an up cycled black organza silk woven grey , Ikat motif .
The fringes are made with wool / acrylic threads :
3 different black + 1 grey taupe
Vintage coins from Afghanistan / Pakistan are sewn on the front.
As ornament , a long Afghan metallic bead.
This grey silk has changing shades, bluish or reddish , depending the light , the movement.
The lining is a black organza silk.
The front length (the more longer on the left ) is approx 50".
The stole is permanently closed on the front , an easy way to wear it quickly.
Cleaning instructions :
Hand wash with lukewarm water.
Wring it delicately to have the crumple aspect.
To dry it on a hanger.
The vintage JAPANESE HAORI JACKET ( ca.1950s/80s ) is in black silk ( the Tachibana flowers ) woven with lacquer threads ( brown ) . Because these lacquer threads , the Haori is bright . Its elegance make It can be used as a formal jacket too .

The Haori is a jacket which is worn over the kimono by men and women to go outside.
Haori jackets are not meant to close , but are made to be worn open , to have the possibility to glimpse and to admire the kimono.
It is free size and easy to wear .
