Long Silk Coat
Piece Unique.

Hand-sewn , Hand-beaded

Vintage Haori Jacket in silk , shades of grey indigo and burgundy ,  pattern autumn leaves & silk Ito-maki ( bobbin thread ) motif.
It is a very old piece , from 1920s , transformed in a long coat with an up-cycled Indian silk , tie & dye ( Patola ) . I textured this silk to have a crumple aspect .

2 longs beaded pendants , from the neckline , can be knotted on the front , to close the coat.

I created a new neckline .
As you can see on the pictures the original neckline is at present on the back.

The silk is wrinkled and beaded with vintage rosary beads in yellow glass from 1930s.

The original Haori is covered by 113 silk mosaics .
This mosaics are made with vintage and up-cycled Indian silk .
They are hand-sewn .
Between them , vintage yellow glass beads are embroidered.

The new neckline is a stripe in silk , who is finished by 2 longs beads pendants , made with different vintage beads , all from rosary , in glass , in wood , from the 1930s / 1940s + some lampwork glass beads from India.

The Ito-maki motif ( bobbin thread ) and the Indian Patola silk ( tie & dye )
