BACCHUS

BACCHUS
Neckpiece
Piece unique
Hand-sewn , Hand-beaded

A neckpiece made with up-cycled and vintage silks from India.
I knot them and sewn together to give the shape .

I embroidered on Bacchus 2 bunches of "white" grapes with green leaves .
They are vintage , from the 1970s , they were made by nuns in a covent close to Sète ( south of France )

The other beads are vintage , from France , in Briare , dated 1930s , used to make Rosary .
The faceted gold are from 1980s .

Closed on the neck by 2 magnetic snap fasteners : a very easy to fix it .
The fabric is a vintage silk crepe from 1940s , from Japan.

These 2 parts are made in thick felts , covered recto-verso by this wonderful Japanese kimono silk .
They are hand-sewn together .
